 AdvaCAL INTENSIVE

The calcium complex for women 50+.

– 20% MORE of the #1 Bone Building Calcium*

–  325% MORE Vitamin D

– Small and easy-to-swallow capsules

AdvaCAL INTENSIVE  by LaneLabs, is a bone-building calcium supplement for women 50+.  AdvaCAL Intensive contains 1200mg of AAACa calcium and 1700 IU of Vitamin D3. AAACa that has significantly increased average bone density in multiple clinical studies.  Capsules are small and easy to swallow.*

AdvaCAL is Unique
AdvaCAL is an ionic calcium. It starts out as oyster shell, which is then smelted at 800° C. Smelting changes the chemical structure of oyster shell from calcium carbonate to calcium oxide and calcium hydroxide. The superheating process removes nearly all of the heavy metals, such as lead, found in oyster shell. The end result is a highly absorbable calcium that can supply all the daily needs of your heart and nervous system with a surplus left to build bone density.*;o

Clinical research shows that AAACa calcium has a second bone benefit: it helps modulate PTH (parathyroid hormone) secretions, which can needlessly deplete calcium from bone. As a final step, the calcium in AdvaCAL is potentiated with HAI (Heated Algal Ingredient). HAI™ is a unique amino acid complex from super-heated hijiki seaweed. Tiny amounts of HAI have been scientifically shown to further elevate calcium oxide & calcium hydroxide absorption.*

Calcium oxide/calcium hydroxide + HAI provides superior calcium absorption and PTH modulation. This combination has shown consistent increases in bone density in clinical research. These two ingredients  are only available in AdvaCAL.*

When you need the most aggressive bone building
Women need to watch their calcium intake even more carefully than most men do. Around age 30, their bones start losing density. Once they hit menopause, the process starts to really speed up. By the time they reach age 60, they may have lost as much as 40% of their total bone mass. Yet national surveys indicate that many women consume much less of the recommended daily calcium intake.

Also as we grow older, our stomachs tend to produce less acid. Less stomach acid means less efficient calcium absorption. Most everyone accepts that vitamin D can help calcium absorption. That’s why milk is fortified with vitamin D. But recently, calcium and vitamin D researchers issued a call to significantly increase the recommended daily intake of vitamin D. Some experts are even suggesting that if anything, current recommended daily values for calcium (1000mg/day) and vitamin D (400 mg/day) are on the low side for women in this age group.

AdvaCAL INTENSIVE represents the very latest findings in bone science. AdvaCAL INTENSIVE provides 1200 mg of AdvaCAL calcium, the #1 bone building calcium; and 1700 IU of vitamin D3 daily, 325% more than the recommended daily value. That’s up to 4X  more the vitamin D found in other calciums.*

An alkaline environment
Scientists believe that an alkaline environment is key to improving bone density. That is why many bone formulas (including AdvaCAL Ultra) include magnesium, which is an alkaline mineral. However, AdvaCAL calcium is also highly alkaline, much more so than other calciums. Because alkalinity -not magnesium- appears to be key for bone support, and AdvaCAL calcium is already highly alkaline, magnesium has not been added in AdvaCAL INTENSIVE.*

There is no calcium complex anywhere with this high potency combination.

Adequate calcium with vitamin D as part of a healthful diet throughout life, along with physical activity, may reduce the risk of osteoporosis in later life.

Capsules are small and easy to swallow. Take 3 in the morning and 3 at bedtime, preferably with food.

dr fujita

Takuo Fujita, M.D., is past president of Japan’s Osteoporosis Foundation and author of over 400 scientific papers on calcium. He has studied AdvaCAL and its ingredients for two decades. “Bone loss is preventable” according to Dr. Fujita. Emphasizing the importance of good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle, Dr. Fujita advises those concerned about weak bones to exercise, eat a low-salt, low-phosphorous diet, avoid smoking, and take AdvaCAL everyday. He told his audience in no uncertain terms, “Take the best calcium – not the cheapest one!”

Advanced Absorption and PTH Modulation

calcium salts

The superheating process also removes nearly all of the heavy metals, such as lead, found in oyster shell. AAACa calcium has demonstrated consistent improvements in bone mineral density in clinical research and is only available in AdvaCAL.*

The human body can only absorb pure (“elemental”) calcium. In young adults, stomach acid has the power to release elemental calcium from most calcium forms. But as we grow older our stomachs secrete less acid, and the process breaks down. Because of its solubility and unique structure, AAACa calcium can easily release elemental calcium in the body, even with little stomach acid production. That means higher absorption and more calcium reaching your bones. Studies show that AAACa calcium has a final bone benefit: it modulates PTH (parathyroid hormone) secretions, which can needlessly deplete calcium from bone.*

Bone Density Clinical Research

bone density incrcease

In one clinical study, postmenopausal women and men taking AdvaCAL increased their bone density on average by 8% more than those taking a placebo after 3 years. In another study, elderly women taking AdvaCAL increased their bone density on average by 6.6% more than those taking a placebo after 2 years.*

Absorption Clinical Research

A 2010 study published in the journal, Nutrients, found that AdvaCAL calcium (AAACa) was 57% better absorbed than the most popular type of calcium — calcium carbonate.  In this study, both AdvaCAL calcium and calcium carbonate were taken with food.   This new study showed a statistically significant improvement in calcium absorption from AdvaCAL using dual stable isotope measurement, considered the gold standard in calcium absorption testing.  Calcium carbonate is used in many calcium supplements, from inexpensive antacids to expensive coral and marine algae calcium brands.  Food consumption tends to level out differences in absorption of calcium supplements.   Earlier research in the calcium field has shown that calcium carbonate is absorbed the same as calcium citrate and calcium citrate malate, when all are taken with food.*

Fracture Clinical Research

A report in the medical journal The Lancet examined results from 17 different studies conducted between 1992 and 2006 on calcium intake and fracture risk. The 17 studies involved men and women over 50, taking 6 different calciums either alone or with vitamin D over multiple years. A study in which participants took AdvaCAL reported an impressive reduction in fracture-risk.* Because the AdvaCAL fracture risk study was small, more research is suggested.
